Donna Baker
Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners
200 South Cameron Street
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Dear Ms. Baker:
The Commission for the Environment would like to recommend five names for
appointment to vacancies that currently exist on the Commission. These are:
Chris Adams
Michele Drostin
Loren Hintz
Charles Hochman, and
Gary Saunders
The CFE feels that their backgrounds will fill existing needs on the group.
In terms of the "special representation" seats on the Commission, Michelle Drostin is
suggested for the Water Resources slot, and Loren Hintz for the Biological Resources
slot. We would also ask that existing member Dawn Santoianni be re-assigned to the
vacant "Engineering" seat on the board, as she is an environmental engineer, and that
-Lucy Adams replace Santoianni in the "Air Quality" seat (she is an air quality
consultant). Recommendations for the remaining vacant "special representation" seats
would be evaluated in the next few months and forthcoming in early 2009.
Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
Sincerely,
David Stancil, Director
Environment and Resource Conservation Department
