BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a recommendation from the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau for Jim Parker who will represent Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce. By a past precedent of the Board of County Commissioners, individuals who live outside Orange County have been appointed to represent an organization on a board. An example is Suzanne Deobald who lives in Wake Forest, NC, but serves on the Human Services Advisory Commission as their Philanthropic Organization representative.
