At the conclusion of the public hearing; Chairman Johnston recognized Chairman
Walker and turned the meeting back to Chairman Walker who then declared the public
hearing adjouned.
Discussion ensued relative to the request of Wade Parrish. The Planning Board
filed with the Board of Commissioners a recommendation that Mr. Parrish~s request
for re-zoning.44,000 square feet in Birchwood Mobile Home Park be approved. Chairman
Walker advised the County Planning Board that the Board of Commissioners would act
on the request for re-zoning.
Upon motion of Commissioner Ray, seconded by Commissioner Bennett, it was moved
and adopted that the request of Wade Parrish to re-zone 44,000 square feet in Birch-
wood Mobil Home Park from a mobile home park area to rural commercial area be approved.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned to meet again an Tuesday, June 30, 1970, in the Courtroom of the Courthouse.

BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
The Board of Commissioners of Orange County met in adjourned session at
the Courthouse in H1.llsborough, North Carolina, in the Courtroom at 8 o~clock
P.M. on June 30, 1970.
Members Present: Chairman Carl M. Smith, Commissioners Harvey D. Bennett,
Ira A. Ward, Henry 5. Walker and William C. Ray.
Members Absent: None ~
This meeting was held for the purpose of reviewing the proposed budget for the
fiscal year of 1970-71. Discussion ensued relative to the various tax rates which
could be used for the fiscal year.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
