SUBJECT: Change in BOCC Re ular Meeting Schedule for 2008

PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2008.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
The Board will consider amending its regular meeting calendar by:
• Adding Public Comment Session on the siting of a Waste Transfer Station on Monday,
November 17th, 2008 at 7:30pm at the McDougal Middle School, 900 Old Fayetteville
Road in Carrboro, N.C.; and
• Siting a location for the BOCC Mini- Retreat which will be held on Friday, November 14,
2008 from 10:OOam to 4:OOpm at Camp Chestnut Ridge, 4300 Camp Chestnut Ridge
Road, Efland, N.C.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend its regular meeting
calendar for 2008 by adding a:
• Public Comment Session on the siting of a Waste Transfer Station on Monday,
November 17th, 2008 at 7:30pm at the McDougal Middle School, 900 Old Fayetteville
Road, in Carrboro, N.C.
• Siting a location for the BOCC Mini- Retreat which will be held on Friday, November 14,
