BACKGROUND: On October 6, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners approved a Contract between Orange County and the EEOC. The EEOC subsequently proposed a modification of the contract that extended the .original Contract between the parties, for the period of October 1, 1998 through. September 30, 1999. September 19, 1999, EEOC proposes a modification to the Contract to decrease training funds for travel and other costs related to attendance and provision of EEOC sponsored Training under Section B entitled, Supplies or services and prices/costs. The decrease resulted from the Departments' saving on costs to attend the annual EEOC sponsored conference. The modification decreased the amount of training funds by $439.81 from $1,200.00 to $760.19. The modification will decrease the amount of the total FFY 99 Contract from $27,700.00 to $27,260.19. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The modification of the contract would decrease the amount of funding, to the Department of Human Rights and Relations by $439.81.
