INFORMATION CONTACT:

PURPOSE: To consider final approval of the regular meeting schedule for the Board of County
Commissioners for calendar year 2009.
BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular
meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule
must show the date, time and place of each meeting.
All meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Not applicable
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the final
schedule of regular meetings for the year 2009.

Suggested Changes to the BOCC DRAFT Meeting
Calendar for 2009
The following are suggested changes that have come in from
BOCC members:
• Suggestion to schedule the February 2nd (Monday) and
March 2nd (Monday) BOCC Regular Meetings on a Tuesday
( February 3rd and March 3rd) to keep consistency in our
regular meeting schedule
• First Monday in December is by statute the Organization
Meeting of the BOCC so it would need to be moved from the
draft calendar from Dec. 1St to Dec. 7th and that would move
the Dec. 10th regular meeting to Tuesday, December 15th,
2009
• Suggestion to then move the County Manager's Evaluation to
Tuesday, December 1St (prior to the first meeting in
December) at 6:OOpm.
