PURPOSE: To consider for approval the regular meeting schedule for the Board of County
Commissioners for calendar year 2000.
BACKGROUND: In accordance with 143.318.12 of the General Statutes, a schedule of regular
meetings shall be filed with the Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. The schedule
must show the date, time and place of each meeting. The calendar reflects meetings scheduled
tentatively with the Town of Hillsborough, the school boards, and the Assembly of
Governments. A meeting with the Orange County legislative delegation and a joint meeting with
Durham County and Durham .City will be scheduled at a later date, and added to the schedule
of regular meetings.
All meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the exception of the December 9 retreat, which will
begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the schedule of
regular meetings for the year 2000.
