SUBJECT: Timeline for Fire Rescue Study RFP
During my report to the BOCC on September 16t", I was asked to provide
additional details regarding the timeline for the Fire Rescue Study RFP. Below is
a more detailed illustration. Working in concert with Pam Jones, we have
established a workable schedule that can be accomplished.
Please advise if you have further questions, or require additional information.

Timeline for Fire Rescue RFP
10-01-08: ES and Purchasing begins developing RFP language with legal
review.
10-10-08: Manager's memo to BoCC describing Scope of Work (SOW)
outline and format.
10-21-08: BoCC receives SOW for review.
10-27-08: Draft reviewed by County Attorney.
11-17-08: Draft document reviewed and updated by ES and Purchasing.
12-01-08: RFP Issued.
December: RFP bids received and reviewed.
January: RFP selected and awarded by BoCC; 2d meeting in January.
January: Contract approved by BoCC
February: Study presented to stakeholder committee.
February: Study ,presented to BoCC for acceptance.
March: Action Plan development begins.
