PURPOSE: To consider one new appointment to the Information Technology Advisory
Committee.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's office has received a recommendation from the Information
Technology Advisory Committee for Martha Hoylman. If appointed Ms. Hoylman will be serving
full terms expiring 12/31/2011
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.

In regards to the Information Technology Advisory Committee, though I'm not directly
employed in information technology, I work at a small business and serve a dual function
of my normal job as well as managing all IT needs for the office and event equipment.
I've also served in a advisory capacity on technology issues for a number of political
campaigns up to the US Congressional level, and am curently on the advisory board of
an upstart nonprofit campaign to promote open source software development. STAFF
