Subject: Orange Adult Care Home CAC nominations
Dear Donna and Angela,
Below are two nomination letters for appointment to the Orange Adult Care Home Community Advisory
Committee. I have also included previous correspondence about a third nomination from August that
has been deferred, so you will have them all in the same place.
Could please let me know that you have received them and when the nominations might be heard?
Nomination for Janet Zager:
The nominating committee for the Orange County Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee
has nominated Janet Zager for an open position on the committee. The greater committee supports this
nomination.
Ms. Zager has served her community in many ways over her lifetime and has recently moved to
Carrboro. She is looking forward to volunteering in our community. Her previous experience volunteering
with residents in long term care has provided an understanding and compassion for helping to advocate
for the needs of older adults. The committee members are pleased she has chosen this committee as a
means of continuing her valued community service.
Nomination for Julie Lochridge:
The nominating committee for the Orange County Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee
has nominated Julie Lochridge for an open position on the committee. The greater committee agreed to
this nomination.
Ms. Lochridge has led and served in many capacities in other volunteer organizations. Through her work
as a facilitator of many support groups for caregivers and Alzheimer's disease, she has gained an
understanding and compassion for the needs of older adults. She brings the energy of an ardent
advocate. She is looking forward to volunteering in our community. The committee members are
pleased she has chosen this committee as a means of continuing her valued community service.
Previous nomination for Wendy Gellert:
Excerpted from my August 8 email:
The Orange Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee (OACHCAC) wishes to nominate
Wendy Gellert for appointment to the Committee. This information has been forwarded by Laura
DeLoye, Past Chair, and Peggy Cohn, Acting Chair. The nominating committee for the Orange County
Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee has nominated Wendy Gellert for an open position on
the committee. This nomination was agreed to by the greater committee.. Ms. Gellert has served in
many volunteer organizations and has recently relocated to the Hillsborough area, looking forward to
volunteering in the community. She has an understanding and compassion for helping to advocate for
the needs of older adults. The committee members are pleased she has chosen this committee as a
means of continuing her valued community service.
Thank you!
Jill
