Paul Alston, Executive Director of the Joint Orange-Chatham Community Action Program, Coolidge Porterfield, Assistant to the Director and Taylor McMillan, Assistant Director of the Institute of Government, presented to the Board the facts on how the proposed Orange-Chatham Regional Housing Authority could be established and how said authority would operate. Mr. Alston stated that his agency did completely support the housing program being proposed by the Cedar Grove Housing Corporation, in that, the need for housing in the area was acute and it would serve as a beginning point for persons who could move towards home ownership.
