PURPOSE: To consider changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar for
year 2008.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
The Board will consider amending its regular meeting calendar by:
• Adding a Transfer Station Siting Work Session on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 5:30pm
( prior to the 7:30pm Regular Meeting) at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501
Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, N.C.; and
• Adding a Transfer Station Siting Work Session on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at
5:30pm (prior to the 7:30pm Regular Meeting) at the Southern Human Services Center,
2501 Homestead Road, in Chapel Hili, N.C.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend its regular meeting
calendar for 2008 by:
• Adding a Transfer Station Siting Work Session on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 5:30pm
( prior to the 7:30pm Regular Meeting) at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501
Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, N.C.; and
• Adding a Transfer Station Siting Work Session on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at
5:30pm (prior to the 7:30pm Regular Meeting) at the Southern Human Services Center,
2501 Homestead Road, in Chapel Hill, N.C.
