BOARD OF COMSSIONERS
June 25, 1968
The Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, North Carolina met in
adjourned session on June 25, 1968 at 8-P.M. in the Commissioners Room at the
Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina.
Members Present: Chairman.Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray,
Carl M. Smith, Henry S. Walker and Ira A. Ward.
Members Absent: -None
This meeting was held for the purpose of reviewing the 1968-1969 budget.
Tom Ward, Director of Public Welfare and members of the Welfare Board were
present to present the proposed 1968-1969 Welfare Budget. Also present were members
of the Chapel Hill School Board to present their 1968=1969 School Budget.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was adjourned
to meet again on Thursday, June 27, 1968.

The Board of County Commissioners of Orange County met in adjourned session
in the Commissioners Room of the Courthouse in Hillsborough at 8:00 P.M.
on Thursday, June 27, 1968.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray,
Carl Ni. Smith, Henry S. Walker and Ira A. Ward.
Members Absent: Prone
This meeting was held for the purpose of reviewing the 1968-1969 budget.
Discussion ensued concerning the County School System and the Chapel Hill Library.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was
adjourned to meet again on Friday, June 28, 1968.
