The County Administrator presented a letter of resignation from Mrs. Arline
M. Tyler, Assistant Home Economics Extension Agent dated February 29, 1968. This
resignation was accepted with regret.
There being no further business to come before the Board this meeting was
adjourned to meet-again on Tuesday, March 5, 1968 in the Court room at the Courthouse
in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
March 5, 1968
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session on Tuesday,
March 5, 1966 in the Court room at the Courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina
at 8 P. T4.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett and Commissioners William C. Ray,
Henry S. Walker and Ira A. Ward.

Members Absent: Commissioner Carl M. Smith.
This meeting was held for the purpose of discussing the reclassification of New
Hope Creek.
B. B. Olive, attorney, spoke in support of the reclassification of New Hope Creek
from a Grade D stream to a Grade B stream.
Professor J. R..Bailey, :k.°ofessor Don Livingston and P-ofessor Weston LaBarre
of the Duke University staff, Burnice Rose, William Waller and Dallas Branch all spoke
in support of the reclassification of said stream. Pearson Stewart, Director
of the Research Triangle Regional Planning Commission, also spoke.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting was
adjourned.
