PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule. The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School Board cannot meet on
September 21 because this is their regular school board meeting. The two school boards and
the County Commissioners have agreed on rescheduling this meeting to September 25, 2000.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by changing the date for the meeting with the two school boards from
September 21 to September 25, 2000 with the location the same at the Southern Human
Services Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
