PURPOSE: To approve grant project ordinances and selected capital project ordinances in
accordance with the actions taken by the Board of Commissioners at the June 20, 2000 budget
work session.
BACKGROUND:
Grant Project Ordinances -The 2000-01 fiscal year budget includes several State and
Federally funded projects. These projects are accounted for in a separate fund and are
shown in the Budget document on the associated departmental pages under "Other Funds."
Copies of the individual grant project ordinances will be forwarded to the Board on June
27,2000.
Capital Project Ordinances -Each year the Board of Commissioners adopts a ten year
Capital Investment Plan for County and School capital projects. This year the Baard
approved the Plan on June 20, 2000. Copies of the individual capital project ordinances for
both School districts and the County projects will be forthcoming under separate cover on
June 27, 2000.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: Adoption of the ordinances establishes the authority to implement the
County's grant project and capital spending plans for FY 2000-01.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners
approve the grant project ordinances and capital project ordinances.
