PURPOSE: To consider the creation of two housing task forces to address various housing
questions and issues.
BACKGROUND: As a follow-up to the Housing Summit earlier this year, the BOCC discussed
the possible creation of two housing task forces to address various needs and issues relating to
housing in Orange County. Commissioners Brown and Jacobs have been discussing these two
proposed task forces, their membership compositions, their charges, their timelines for work,
and other related matters. Commissioners Brown and Jacobs plan to provide information to the
entire Board prior to the May 16~' meeting regarding the actual creation of these two proposed
task forces.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None at this time.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board proceed as it wishes
based on information from Commissioners Brown and Jacobs.
