MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
November 15, 1967
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session on
Wednesday, November 15, 1967, 8 P.M. in the courtroom at the courthouse in
Hillaborough, North Carolina
Members Present: Chairman Harvey Bennett, and Commissioners William C. Ray,
Carl M. Smith, Henry S. Walker and Ira A. Ward.
Members Absent: None
The purpose of this meeting was to meet with the County Planning Board for
the duly advertised public bearing on rezoning. Requests had been received from
Clyde Bowden and James R. Forlow for rezoning a designated residential area to a
trailer park area.
Chairman Bennett turned the chair over to Dr. C. T. Aaylor, Chairman of the
County Planning Board, who proceeded to conduct this public hearing.
For reference to the items and business conducted at this public hearing
you are hereby referred to the minutes of the County Planning Board.
There being no further business to come before the Board said public
hearing was adjourned.

BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
November 16, 1967
The Orange County Board of Commissioners met Thursday, November 16, 1967
at 3 P.M.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey Bennett, and Commissioners Carl M. Smith,
Henry_ S. Walker and Ira A. Ward.
Members Absent: Commissioner William C. Ray, who was attending a.State
Welfare Board meeting in Raleigh.
This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing with the Durham County
Commissioners the proposed boundary line agreement. No decision, as to the
proper placement, of the proposed boundary line between the counties was reached.
The Durham County Commissioners wanted to see the survey of the Norther portion
of the boundary line before they made their decision. Tbey stated that after
they consulted their surveyor on this portion of the line they felt they would
be in a position to reach an agreement.
There being no further business to come before the board said meeting
was adjourned
