PURPOSE: To conduct a public hearing to receive citizen comments regarding the County
Manager's Recommended 2000-2010 Capital Investment Plan (CIP).
BACKGROUND:
At the Board of County Commissioners work session held on March 23, 2000, the County
Manager presented the annual update to the County's ten-year Capital Investment Plan (CIP).
At that time, the Board established April 17, 2000 asxhe date of a public hearing on this subject.
Staff will provide a brief presentation highlighting major components of the ten-year plan.
Following the public comment period, staff will be available to respond to citizen and
Commissioner comments or questions. Scheduled work sessions on April 24 and May 9 allow
for further deliberation of the Plan by the Board with possible adoption being on May 9, 2000.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There are no financial impacts associated with the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners
conduct the public hearing for the County's 2000-2010 Capital Investment Plan.
