BACKGROUND: The Govemar has proclaimed April as Public Health Month in North Carolina. The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services encourages local counties to plan activities to educate the community about public health. The Orange County Health Department is planning a variety of activities in Orange County as found on the attached "Public Health Month Activities in Orange County." Health education, screening, outreach, and public awareness events are scheduled. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
