PURPOSE: To officially appoint William (Buck) Tredway as acting Deputy County Clerk so that
various functions and duties can be performed in the absence of the Clerk to the Board while
the Deputy Clerk's position is vacant.
BACKGROUND: Whenever there is a court case involving a County ordinance, it is
necessary that certified copies of that particular ordinance be provided to the Judge, usually on
the day of the case. Also, very often documents must be signed right away. E3y approving the
following resolution, William (Buck) Tredway will be able to provide these documents in the
absence of the Clerk as well as perform other duties when the Clerk is not available.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING WILLIAM (BUCK) TREDWAY
AS
ACTING DEPUTY CLERK
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEREBY RESOLVES that William (Buck)
Tredway is hereby appointed as Acting Deputy County Clerk for the County of Orange. As
Acting Deputy Clerk, Mr. Tredway shall be authorized to perform all the duties and functions of
the County Clerk in the absence of the County Clerk.
This resolution shall become effective upon adoption.

RECOMMENDATION (S): Approve the resolution as stated above.
