BACKGROUND: These parcels were shown as 3a and 3b on the June 6, 2000 moratoria map including approximately 77 acres. These parcels can continue their present activity pursuant to existing zoning codes if presently developed. If the site is undeveloped or previously noted site is to be redeveloped, then the parcel would be developed consistent with Limited Office district or request rezoning through a special use rezoning and permit process. These parcels would also be removed from the moratoria which is proposed to end on January 6, 2001 for these parcels. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None at this time. A list of other permitted and special uses are available in the Planning Offices noted .below. The Orange County Board of County Commissioners and the Orange County Planning Boazd will hold a joint public hearing at 7:30 PM on this rezoning on December 12 2000 at the Southern Human Services Center at 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. A public notice will be'posted on the premises at least ten 10 days before the hearing, and a legal advertisement will appear in the Durham Herald and the News of Orange for two successive weeks with the first notice appearing not less than ten (10) days nor more than twenty-five (25) days prior to the public hearing. This notice is being sent to you because your property is either included in this rezoning or it is within 500 feet of the property proposed for a zoning classification amendment. This notice is provided pursuant to N.C. General Statutes 1 S3A-343 and Orange County Zoning Ordinance Article 20.6. At this public hearing, testimony, reports, and public comment will be taken and used in the consideration of the rezoning action. This is an opportunity for those noticed of this pending action to be heazd as a proponent or opponent to the proposal. This is not an adoption hearing and a vote will only be made to continue the public heazing to the Planning Board for eventual recommendation back to the Boazd of County Commissioners.
