MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
June 26, 1967
The Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange, North Carolina met
in adjourned session to the Commissioners Room at the Courthouse in Hillsborough,
N. C. on Monday, June 26, 1967 at 8:00 P.M.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William
C. Ray, Carl M. Smith and Henry S. Walker.
Members Absent: CommissionerIra A. fard.
Members of the Chapel Hill School Board were present to present their
roposed 1967-1968 budget. The current expense allocation amounted to
$281,563.00 and the capital outlay allocation amounted to $268,000.00.
Discussion ensued concerning the proposed budget.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting
was adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, June 27, 1967 at 8:00 P.M.

adjourned session in the Commissioners Room at the Courthouse in Hillsborough,
N. C. on June 27, 1967 at 8:00 P.M.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, and Commissioners William
C. Ray, Carl M. Smith, and Henry S. Walker.
Members Absent: Commissioner Ira A. Ward.
Members of the orange County Board of Education were present to present
their proposed 1967-1968 budget. The current expense allocation amounted to
$280,157.00 and the capital outlay allocation amounted to $355,500.00.
Members of the County Welfare Board were present to present their
1967-1968 proposed budget. Discussion ensued.
There being no further business to come before the Board said meeting
was adjourned to meet again on Thursday, June 29, 1967 at 8:00 o'clock P.M.
