PURPOSE: To consider three changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting
calendar for year 2002.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule.
The beginning time for the October 21 st Work Session will be changed from 7:30 to 5:30 p.m. at
the Government Services Center, 200 S. Cameron Street in Hillsborough, N.C. The Board of
County Commissioners will consider moving the date of the Board Retreat from Saturday,
December 7, 2002 to Saturday, January 25, 2003, and change the beginning time from 8:00
a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Southern Human Services Center on Homestead Road in Chapel Hill,
North Carolina.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by changing the beginning time of the October 21St Work Session to 5:30 p.m.
at the Government Services Center at 200 S. Cameron Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina,
and to move the Board Retreat from December 7, 2002 to January 25, 2003, beginning at 9:00
a.m. at the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, North
Carolina.
