PURPOSE: To consider reappointing three members of the Economic Development
Commission (EDC) and to consider one new appointment.
BACKGROUND: The terms of Leslie Carol Weaver, George Horton and Ruffin Slater expired
June 30, 2002. All are eligible for, and have been recommended for, reappointment.
In addition, the second term of Bob Hall has expired, so he will rotate off the Commission as
soon as someone is appointed to take his place.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider reappointing Leslie Carol Weaver and George Horton to
second terms and Ruffin Slater to a first regular term, all to expire June 30, 2005. Also, consider
one new appointment.
