PURPOSE: To consider making an appointment to the Jury Commission.
BACKGROUND: There are three positions on this Commission, one of which is appointed by
the Orange County Board of Commissioners. Because the third, two (2)-year term of Ms. Judy
Cox,-the BOCC appointee, expired on June 30, 2002, a new member needs to be appointed.
Ms. Anne Maddry was recommended and has expressed an interest in serving in this capacity.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider appointing Ms. Anne Maddry to the Jury Commission for
a first term to expire June 30, 2004.
