PURPOSE: To consider making appointments to the Chapel Hill /Orange County Visitors
Bureau.
BACKGROUND: There are two vacancies on the Chapel Hill /Orange County Visitors Bureau.
One is the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce seat for which Mr. Lee Pavao has
been nominated. This would be his first term, and would expire December 31, 2005.
The other is the N.C. High School Athletic Association seat for which Mr. Rick Strunk has been
nominated. He would be returning to the Visitors Bureau after being off it for a year and a half.
He would be serving a partial term to expire December 31, 2004.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making appointments to the Chapel Hill /Orange County
Visitors Bureau as the Board may decide.
