BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in the Meeting Schedule. It is proposed to hold a retreat on June 27, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. at the Whitted Human Services Center in Hillsborough. There are no other proposed changes to the Board of Commissioners' 2026 meeting calendar. FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact. ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: This item supports: • GUIDING PRINCIPLE — COMMUNICATION AND AWARENESS We provide information and opportunities for engagement in a transparent manner so that all in our community have knowledge, understanding, and a voice.
