PURPOSE: To consider the reappointment of two members to the Orange County Board of
Adjustment.
BACKGROUND: The first terms of two members of the Orange County Board of Adjustment
expire June 30, 2003. These members are Karen Barrows, from Little River Township, Vice-
Chair, and Sharlene Pilkey from Hillsborough Township, both serving At-Large. They are active
participants on the Board of Adjustment and both have expressed an interest in being
reappointed.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider appointing Karen Barrows and Sharlene Pilkey to the
Orange County Board of Adjustment, each to a second term to expire June 30, 2006.

Karen Barrows and ~arlPn~PilkP;~ have both indicated they would like to be reappointed to the Board of
Adjustment. I called Ernie Patterson and got his voice mail. I left word for him to call me and that he
needed to be coming to the meetings. He has missed most of the Board's meetings . We had a meeting
Monday night and he didn't show up and didn't call so if the Board of Commissioners would like to replace
him that would be alright with me. Thanks! Eddie
