HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 19660627MINUTES OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS June 27, 1966 455 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special.session on Monday, June 27, 1966, at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners room at the courthouse in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Members present: Chairman Harvey Bennett, Commissioners Gordon Cleveland, William C. Ray and Carl M. Smith. Members absent: Commissioner Henry S. Walker. This meeting was held for the purpose of budget discussion with the members of the Orange County Welfare Board and Tom Ward, Welfare Director. Discussion ensued concerning the proposed welfare budget. No action was taken. There being.no further business to come before the Board said meeting was adjourned to meet again on Tuesday, June 28, 1966, at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners room at the courthouse as a Board of Equalization and Review. Members present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, Commissioners Gordon B. Cleveland, and William C. Ray. Members absent: Commissioners Carl M. Smith and Henry S. Walker.
