BACKGROUND: The goal of the Orange County Housing Authority Board is to provide decent, safe, and sanitary housing for the low- and moderate-income families in the County. The Board of County Commissioners appoints all seven (7) members. The Orange County Housing Authority Board does not make recommendations for appointments. Please explain your reasons for wanting to serve on this board I have supported affordable housing financially for many years and now hope to volunteer my time and energy in working for affordable housing in my community, as my children are grown. How would your particpation on this board contribute to the diversity of viewpoints? I am American born but grew up in Europe and have lived in multiple places in the US, so I have seen many systems applied to the issues of affordable housing. I read widely on housing as a lay person and am interested in learning much more about the issues specific to our community. My medical knowledge may be of use to the board. I work for 811 and work directly with utility company s. I want to ensure that everyone is being treated fair. 2a.
