Dear Ms . Jensen ,
North Carolina General Statutes requires the County Manager to file a letter with the Clerk
to the Board of Commissioners designating an Acting County Manager during the County
Manager' s temporary absence or disability .
By this letter , I am designating Caitlin Fenhagen , Deputy County Manager , to serve as
the Acting County Manager during my temporary absence or disability . This designation
will allow Ms . Fenhagen to exercise the full scope of the County Manager' s duties during
my absence and , thereby , ensure continuity of operations .
The Statute also requires that this designation be approved by the Board of
Commissioners . I will seek this approval as part of the April 21 , 2026 Business Meeting .
