PURPOSE: To consider appointments to the Human Services Advisory Commission.
BACKGROUND: There are four at-large vacancies on the Human Services Advisory
Commission and eight applications. A recommendation has been given for the following people
to be appointed: Cynthia Perlson *; Patty Maynard Hill; Cheryl Atwater; and Marla Fearrington.
Staff contacted Ms. Perlson since the nomination was received and she is no longer
interested in serving.)
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Appoint the following people to the Human Services Advisory
Commission for the following terms:
• Patty Maynard Hill, At-Large, partial term, term expiration, March 31, 2004
• Cheryl Atwater, At-Large, partial term, term expiration, March 31, 2003
• Marla Fearrington, At-Large, first regular term, term expiration, March 31, 2005
