PURPOSE: To consider one change in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar
for year 2003.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Regular Meeting Schedule. The Board of County Commissioners will consider adding a
Luncheon Meeting, Thursday, May 1, 2003 starting at 11:30 a.m. at the Government Services
Center, 200 South Cameron Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina in order to meet with the
University of North Carolina Provost, Robert Shelton.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE
RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends that the Board amend their regular
meeting calendar by adding a luncheon meeting on Thursday, May 1, 2003 to begin 11:30 a.m.
at the Government Services Center at 200 S. Cameron Street, Hillsborough, North Carolina.
