PURPOSE: To consider making four reappointments to the Human Relations Commission.
BACKGROUND: The terms of four members of the Human Relations Commission have expired
and all are eligible for reappointment. The members are Patricia Casper, Maria Erlinda
Fernandez, Stanley Lee Foushee and Kathie W. Young. Ms. Fernandez and Ms. Young were
serving unexpired terms and are eligible to each serve a full first term now. Ms. Casper and Mr.
Foushee were serving first terms and are now eligible to serve second terms.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider reappointing the following members to the Human Relations
Commission: Maria Erlinda Fernandez and Kathie W. Young, each to a full first term to expire
June 30, 2005; Patricia Casper and Stanley Lee Foushee, each to a second term to expire
June 30, 2005.
