Meetings are open to the public to attend. There is no place on the regular agenda
for public comment. Should any member of the public have a question or comment
for the Climate Council's consideration, they can contact Brennan Bouma before
5pm on the day preceding the meeting at bbouma@orangecountync.gov or leave a
voicemail at 919-245-2626.

3:00 I. Call to Order, Land Acknowledgement, Changes to the
Agenda
• The Council will take a moment to acknowledge that Orange County sits on the
historic lands of the Occoneechi,Saponi,and Tutelo people,and historically the land
where Orange County is now was also the land of the Tuscarora,Sissipahaw,Eno,
Shakori,Saura,and Catawba people.
• Council members will have the opportunity to suggest additions or changes to the
agenda.
3:05 II. Approval of Meeting Minutes from January 21, 2020
3:10 III. Recruitment for vacancies and diversity
• The Vice Chair will report on issues regarding existing vacancies,as well as discuss
how we might bring more diversity to the Council
• Cathy Cole will report out regarding NAACP
3:35 IV. Update from Communications Committee
• The Communications interns will report on their research goals and progress
• Donna Rubinoff will report on the purposes of the research work for Council's
community engagement
4:10 V. Update from Policy Committee
• PC didn't meet in January,will report on next meeting date and topic

• CARC didn't meet in January,will report on next meeting date and topic
