The accompanying resolution would formally request that the General Assembly take such action. FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact associated with this action. RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the attached resolution. a NORTH CAROLINA ORANGE COUNTY RESOLUTION REGARDING LEGISLATIVE MATTERS BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County that the Board hereby requests the Senator and Representatives representing Orange County to introduce and support the following legislative matter: An Act to Establish the Boundary Line Between Chatham and Orange County (Exhibit A). I spent some time reviewing the description with the map that is enclosed with the regular mail copy of this letter, I thifilc the two work together You should know that there is more information in the nan~ative description than is shown on the plat and that will be shown on the plat that will be recorded in both Chatham and Orange Counties when the General Assembly approves the confirmation of the Orange County/C.hatham County boundary. Per our conversation about all of this, Chatham County has made arrangements for Joe Hackney to "nui" this bill through the General Assembly. Orange County will send directly a copy of its adopted resolution to all of the members of Che General Assembly serving Orange County.
