SUBJECT: Changes in BOCC Meeting Schedule for 2025

PURPOSE: To consider changes to the Board of Commissioners' meeting calendar for 2025.
BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County
Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in
the Meeting Schedule.
It is proposed to schedule two (2) Board of Commissioners` retreats to be held on November 14,
2025 and November 21, 2025 at the Whitted Building in Hillsborough. The retreat on November
14 will be held from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, and the retreat on November 21 will be held from 1:00
pm to 5:00 pm.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item.
ALIGNMENT WITH STRATEGIC PLAN: This item supports:

We provide information and opportunities for engagement in a transparent manner so that
all in our community have knowledge, understanding, and a voice.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its meeting calendar for
2025 and conduct retreats on November 14, 2025 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, and on November
21, 2025 from 1 :00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Whitted Building in Hillsborough.
