The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session on Friday, May U, 1965,
at 1:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Room in the Courthouse in Hillsboro, N. C.
Members Present: Commissioners Gordon B. Cleveland, William C. Ray, Henry S. Walker and
Carl M. Smith.
Member Absent: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett.
Vice-Chairman Walker assumed the chair in the absence of Chairman Bennett.
W. H. Hester was present to represent Associated Surveys.
The purpose of this meeting was to hear appeals from property owners from their 1965 tax
assessments.
The Tax Supervisor presented to the Board a list of cases which he felt for good cause
should be heard.
The following taxpayers were heard, and the Board took the action indicated:

Hb. 1-B-1 George & Walter Lucas No change
Hb. 1-B-2 Walter Lucas George Lucas appeared for Walter Lucas.
Board set following values: land $500,
Building $6,785, Tax value $5,100.
Hb. 23-A-9 W. B. Coleman Failed to appear, requested new appoin-
tment. New appointment granted.
C. G. Donald Oakley Board requested Tax Supervisor to
look at this property, again.
C. G. Thomas Anderson Board set following values: Land $6,27(
Building $200, Tax Value $4,530.
Eno (Lots 25-26 &29) Irma Dillon Failed to appear, no change
Eno (10.9 acres) M. H. Baker Failed to appear, no change
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned with
plans to meet again on Monday, May 17th at 9:30 A.M.

at 9:30 a.m., in the Commissioners Room in the Courthouse in Hillsboro, N. C.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, Commissioners Gordon B. Cleveland, Williar: C.
Ray, Henry S. Walker and Carl M. Smith.
Members absent: None.
The purpose of this meeting was to hear appeals from 1965 property tax assessments.
W. F. Hester was present to represent Associated Surveys.
The Tax Supervisor presented a list of cases to the Board and recommended that for good cause
these cases be heard.
The following cases were heard, and the Board took the action indicated:

at 10:00 a.m., in the Commissioners Room in the Courthouse in Hillsboro, N. C.
Members Present: Chairman Harvey D. Bennett, Commissioners Gordon B. Cleveland, William C.
Ray, Henry S. Walker and Carl M. Smith.
Members absent: None.
The purpose of this meeting was to hear appeals from property taxpayers concerning their 1965
:ounty property tax assessments. The Tax Supervisor recommended that appeals from the following per-
