SU67ECT: Recommendation for Appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission
At their meeting on March 24, the Historic Preservation Commission recommended Alice H.
Remini for appointment to the Commission, Cathleen Turner, Executive Director of the
Alliance for Historic Hillsborough, suggested Ms, Remini as a potential candidate who would
meet our preservation criteria, In addition to renovating a farmhouse in Cheeks Township,
Ms, Remini has a considerable academic background in architectural history and should
contribute to our ongoing work on the architectural history ptablication and design guidelines,
Her past work in finance should also be of value as we look to develop new programs to assist
local preservation efforts,
Please convey this to the Board of Commissioners for their consideration in April. Ms,
Remini would fill the seat of Dr, Carolyn Connor, who rotated off the Commission in March.
