For many students, especially those in rural and under-funded urban high schools, the community college helps build the study skills and academic independence needed to be successful in a 4-year school. The community college also serves the needs of adult learners who need basic academic and technical skills. A new potential challenge in 2025 is a rumored decrease in HUD funding based on the incoming administration, which could directly impact how many vouchers we are able to operate.
