Staff sent a letter of vacancy to each veterinarian practicing in Orange County and received only a few phone inquiries. Last month the Board received a qualified applicant and is requesting that you consider her application. She is very enthusiastic about the possibility of serving and understands that she would also be the Board of Health liaison to the Animal Services Advisory Committee. DeWana Anderson is currently a practicing veterinarian with The Animal Hospital of Canboro and lives in southern Orange County. She would assist the Board and provide valuable input to the Health Department in addressing human health issues that are transmitted by animals. Thank you for your consideration of this applicant.
