PURPOSE: To consider making new one new appointment to the Carrboro NTA Advisory
Board.
BACKGROUND: There is a vacancy on the Carrboro NTA Advisory Board. The new appointee
would be serving a first full term, ending 1/31/2008. The BOCC recently appointed a volunteer
to this board, however they have declined appointment at this time.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one new appointment to the Carrboro NTA Advisory
Board.

I will become a resident of Carrboro on .Jan 1 2006. I was asked to apply for the OUT Bd
by Karen Lincoln. I would like to give back to the community in a volunteer capacity; I an-
sincerely interested in promoting healthy growkh and in minimizing the impact (am
interested in Planning Board, Commission for the Environment, and NTA Board. I live
directly in front of the intersection under study and understand the issues involved, I
have been at home with small children for the past 8 years, (Last job was home health
nurse in Orange and Durham Counties. Also have MAT Social Studies from UNC-CH. I
have varied committee experience, I am good at eliciting input, assessing and integrating
data, and reaching consensus opinion; I have a general knowledge of prominent
environmental and growth issued and I am eager to learn more, STAFF COMMENTS:
