THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MET ON MONDAY: September 19, 2022 at
Hillsborough Commons.
BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MEMBERS PRESENT: Pat Garavaglia, Jamezetta Bedford, Jane Garrett,
Oscar Fleming and Ann Wilkerson
GUEST: None
BOARD OF SOCIAL SERVICES MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: Nancy Coston, Social Services Director.
I. Call to Order and Introductions
DSS Chair, Pat Garavaglia, called the meeting to order at 4:12 pm.

None.
IV. Agenda Changes
None.
V. Action Items
On a motion by Jamezetta Bedford, the Board approved the minutes of August 15, 2022. Jane Garrett
seconded the motion. The motion was carried without dissent.
VI. Items for Discussion and/or Decision
1. Executive Session
Pat Garavaglia made a motion that the Board move into Executive Session pursuant to §
143-318.11(a)(6). Ann Wilkerson seconded the motion. The motion was carried without dissent.
VII. Announcements
Ann Wilkerson moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:40 pm. Jane Garrett seconded the motion. The motion was
carried without dissent.
