PURPOSE: To consider making new appointments to the Advisory Board on Aging.
BACKGROUND: The Clerk's Office has received a recommendation from the Advisory Board
on Aging to appoint Mr. Cary Cornette and Ms. Florence Soltys. If appointed Mr. Cornette
would be serving a first full term, which would expire 6/30/2008. If appointed Ms. Soltys would
be serving a partial term, which would end 6/30/2007.

vacant At-Large position #1 of the Aging Board. At the June 81h Aging Board meeting,
the Board recommended Mr. Cary Corvette for this position.
Mr'. Comette is a resident of Cedar Grove. He is a Certified Senior Advisor and has
special training on Senior issues.
Mr. Corvette served on the Durham County Adult Home Care Community Committee
and presently serves on the Orange County Adult Care Home Community Advisory
Committee

geriatrics. She is presently a professor at UNC-CH.
