RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the Orange County Sheriff' s Office is in possession of surplus duty weapons that are
either no longer needed by or not best suited for the agency; and
WHEREAS , Craig' s Firearm Supply and Police Distributors Inc . was founded in 1995 with a mission
to provide the highest quality of protection to the people that need it. Craig' s Firearm Supply strives
"to protect those who protect us by supplying them with the finest firearms and supplies available" ,
and
WHEREAS, the County and Craig' s Firearm Supply wish to make an even exchange of the surplus
duty weapons for merchandise credits ; and
WHEREAS , North Carolina General Statutes 160A-271 authorizes the county to make such an
exchange if authorized by the Board of Commissioners by a resolution adopted at a regular meeting
of the board upon at least 10 days ' public notice; and
WHEREAS, the County has given the required public notice, and the board is convened in a regular
meeting.
THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ORANGE COUNTY HEREBY RESOLVES THAT.
1 . The exchange of properties described above is authorized .
2 . The appropriate county officials are directed to execute the appropriate instruments necessary
to carry out the exchange .
