PURPOSE: To consider one appointment to the Carrboro Planning Board,
BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) makes four appointments to
the Carrboro Planning Board, two of which are for Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) positions
and two of which are for Transition Area (TA) positions.
There is one TA vacancy on the Carrboro Planning Board and two eligible applications have

the Carrboro Board of Aldermen may make this appointment. The deadline for the BOCC to
make these appointments is June 10, 2004.
FINANCIAL IMPACT: None,
RECOMMENDATION(S): Consider making one appointment to the Carrboro Planning Board:
as the BOCC may decide.
