Meetings are open to the public to attend. There is no place on the regular agenda
for public comment. Should any member of the public have a question or comment
for the Climate Council's consideration, they can contact Brennan Bouma before
5pm on the day preceding the meeting at bbouma@orangecountync.gov or leave a
voicemail at 919-245-2626.

7:00 I. Call to Order, Land Acknowledgement, Changes to the
Agenda
• The Council will take a moment to acknowledge that Orange County
sits on the historic lands of the Occoneechi, Saponi, and Tutelo
people, and historically the land where Orange County is now was
also the land of the Tuscarora, Sissipahaw, Eno, Shakori, Saura, and
Catawba people.
• Council members will have the opportunity to suggest additions or
changes to the agenda.
7:05 II. Approval of Meeting Minutes from June 16, 2021
7:10 III. Discussion of Restructuring - Roles and Process
• The Council will continue their discussion to clarify and focus the
work of the Council. Workgroups will report on their discussions and
proposals for future products.
7:50 IV. Guidance for Communications Committee
• Interns continue to support this Working Group and time is needed
to discuss current work and future direction in more detail.
8:25 V. Council Meeting Time
• The Council will discuss and set the future time for regular meetings.
