PURPOSE: To consider reappointments to the Arts Commission,
BACKGROUND: The terms of four members of the Arts Commission expired on March 31,
2004, Two of the members, Bonnie Fuchs and Susan L. Lyons, seek, and are eligible far,
reappointment, The two remaining members, Bronwyn Merritt and Debbie L, Freedman, do not
seek reappointment, The vacancies created by their absence will be considered as a separate

The Orange County Arts Commission (OCAC) would like to recommend the
reappointment of Bonnie Fuchs and Susan Lyons to the OCAC boazd for another term,
Their current terms expire on March .31, 2004..
Ilieir attendance has been excellent and they would like to be reappointed.
OCAC Uoazd members Bronwyn Merritt and Debbie Freedman have decided they will
not seek reappointment when their current terms expire on March 31, 2004. The OCAC
would like to resubmit the name of Annette Smith for your consideration for
appointment. She resides in Chapel Hill and would strengthen our board in the area of
arts education.

possible.
