ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPROVAL OF CROMEBOOK
REPLACEMENTS FOR CHAPEL HILL -CARRBORO CITY SCHOOLS
WHEREAS , the Chapel HilkCarrboro City Schools Board of Education seeks to
replace its student Chromebook inventory through a five year lease to purchase
agreement with Trafera , LLC , costing $ 1 , 147 , 114 annually ; and
WHEREAS , North Carolina General Statute § 115C441 requires the Board of County
Commissioners authorize continuing contracts for capital outlay through an approval
resolution to ensure the district receives sufficient funds to fulfill the contract ; and
WHEREAS , the County ' s Capital Investment Plan provides sufficient planned Article
46 funding for Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools to fulfill the contract ;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that sufficient funds shall be appropriated and
the Chapel HilkCarrboro City Schools Board of Education is authorized to enter in a
contract with Trafera , LLC to replace its student Chromebook inventory .
Adopted by the Orange County Board of Commissioners this 20t" day of February ,
2024 .
